Syllabus is shared with student & parents
Springboard/FOSS & Pearson Units are implemented with integrity
Every Quarter includes one viable STEM activity
Vocabulary is contextual and focused on SB/Pre-AP academic vocabulary, practice with words is critical/games are played regularly that tax student skills with vocabulary
End of Unit Exams (with modifications) are phased in for each grade level and opportunities for retakes exist

Grammar Skills in Springboard are supplemented as needed with approved curriculum
Readers Theatre/Choral Reading/Read- aloud by teacher is visible regularly in every unit
Writing Workshops from SB are a vital part of getting students prepared for Embedded Assessments
Springboard’s End of Unit Exams (with modifications) are phased-in for each grade level and counted as part of student grade starting second quarter.
A play or musical is done once a year at each grade level
